Cobbled together from the original penned by Fish...

The drinking was streets ahead of the cricket so detailed match reports are banned. The Barford tour, its entourage, supporters, groupies and roadies trundled south again to spend a few days in west Wiltshire.

On Friday 12th we played against Keevil C. C. in the grounds of the manor house courtesy of its owner, Mr Chris Vernon. A wet encounter was endured after Keevil had scored some 170 off the 20 overs. Barford's reply reached 35 for 0 off 5.3 overs before the heavens opened. It was then decided to get wet on the inside as well! Draw.

The Golden Fleece C. C. was Saturday's fixture. Their ground enjoyed the monsoon of Friday and after they scored 120 all out, we thought - easy peasy. Sadly this was not the case. A record was broken though - lowest ever Barford score. Improving on the 40 all out against Lemmings at the start of this season, we managed 38 all out. Only one person made double figures with the bat (Russ O'Donnell). We was crap and came second!!!

Of Christian Malford little was known. They play against the Golden Fleece and ran up 290 for 5 off 40 overs. Mr O'Donnell, (what a star), caught one of their batsmen (who played for Exeter Uni) on 97. In reply, on a drying wicket, we made 73 all out. Top scorer was extras with M. Lilley Esq. close behind on 17!!! Lost. Superb pub up the road - the Rising Sun.

Photos with captions were wallpapering the pavilion till it blew down!.

Tour highlights: Nathan 'hedge hopping' Haynes - ask him about it!

Mike Suffield being bowled by a boy yet to reach double figures of age!

Tony Timms fielding like a demon at Christian Malford - no, it was that good!

At 5:45 a.m. some female effing and blinding at 'Gareth', who he?

Bloody 'erdsy ringing round at 3:00 a.m. wanting 'some mates for a drink'
