Preseason Party

Chris Prince has very kindly offered the use of his house for this year’s pre-season party, which will take place on Sunday 13th April from 12:30 onwards. Lunch will be provided, although you are asked to bring your own drinks. The cost will be £5 per person for adults, £3 for juniors (aged 10-16) with under 10s eating for free. Please contact Mike Suffield (01926 403304) if you are able to attend.

Many thanks to Chris (and especially Rachel!) for hosting the Party and we hope we didn't outstay our welcome! In the absence of Paul "Flickr" Henderson, the role of the paparazzi was nobly filled by Rebekah Prince and you can catch the fruits of her labours here...

Quiz Night

The Quiz is pencilled in this coming year for Saturday 25th October and will be hosted by Phil Morris - so expect questions on flat caps, whippets and varieties of coal. Tickets are £7.50 per person, so get on to Mike Suffield (01926 403304) and reserve your table now!

Annual Dinner

There will indeed be an annual dinner this year, and after last year's triumph at the Granville Arms, will shall be revisiting them on Friday 6th February (7:30 for 8:00pm).

You should have received a summons from the secretary and our everlasting Social Secretary, Mike Suffield (apparently the "Gillian McKeith" of Barford CC - I've dropped the "Dr" on legal advice) is expecting your urgent replies. Tickets are £22 per head and will highlight the long-awaited debut speech from our beloved captain and the handing of of a variety of exciting baubles to those deemed worthy.

A full report of the shenanigans at the event and photograhs will be posted once the requisite Photoshopping has been done...

It took a while but the fruit of the paparazzi's labours are finally available - goodness knows how much all that equipment cost but the results are certainly impressive.

Chris O'Reilly stepped ably into the chasm left by Mike Suffield and provided an entertaining summary of the year's achievements activities, although the crowd were understandably dismayed when Simon Hawkins failed to renact his triumphal Aunt Sally antics from last years tour. The chairman supplied his customary poetic tour-de-force, at least once he remembered where he'd left his notes!

For the record, the awards went to the following:

Batting - Paul Johnstone

Bowling - Ben Griffin (ably impersonated by Phil Morris)

Clubman - Mike Suffield
