Well it's finally official - we're off next season to enjoy the comforts of hot water and electricity (and a bar!) at Leek Wootton Sports & Social Club. The committee have, despite valiant efforts, been unable to agree a new lease on the field in Hareway Lane and have decided that Barford CC will play it's fixtures in Leek Wootton for the foreseeable future. Although it feels like the end of an era, the search for a longer term home in Barford will continue - so if you know of anyone with a bit of land, or even a very large back garden, be sure to get in touch with the commitee!

Full details will be posted here as and when the agreements have been finalised, but the fixture list has now been published and the home fixtures will be at Leek Wootton

Nets kicked off this weekend with a promising attendance of old (and new!) faces - sorry, chaps but I'm waiting until it warms up a bit before dusting off my kit! Don't worry if you couldn't make the first one, as there are plenty more lined up before the season starts in April...

Leek Wootton start their nets on Sunday 4th March running weekly (avoiding Easter) at Kenilworth Wardens 8 to 9:30 pm. http://kenilworthwardens.play-cricket.com/home/home.asp Any Barford players who wish to attend will be most welcome.

STOP PRESS

Mike has finally got his finger out and organised last year's Annual Dinner for 23rd February in the salubrious surroundings of the Lord Leycester Hotel in Warwick. You should have received a mailshot by now, and replied enclosing a large cheque asap. If not, then you'd better get a move on as places are strictly limited and you really wouldn't want to miss out - no, you really wouldn't...
