In the month(s) or so since the last update, the club has not set the world of village cricket on fire - you'll be relieved to hear! Despite an unexpected maiden victory for the year against Rowington (who will no doubt include a few more first teamers next year), we've resolutely refused to build on that performance and have clocked up some more losses. The tour was yet another outstanding success (thanks Mike!) off the field even if results were slightly disappointing.

On the social side a highly successful 6 a side competition was held last Saturday. Congratulations and thanks to Mushie Jones and his happy band of helpers for organising and running such a successful event - and even remembering to book the weather this year. Fixture secretaries have been designated for the weekend games (see the fixtures page for details), so make sure you let them know your availability in good time or you may end up disappointed.
