I'm afraid the talking's over and it's now time for all good men and true to hide in the pavilion until the opposition quicks have worn themselves out a bit.

Weekend fixtures have been finalised and we've managed to secure our relegation into the third (bottom) of the Midweek Leagues. Undaunted, Nathan has been retained as Midweek captain and has vowed to make this year one to remember. The fixtures pages have been updated with the relevant details, so get your availability for all of them into Mike Suffield asap, as he wishes to repeat the highly successful squad rotation system from last year which seems to have been subsequently appropriated by some other minority sports.

The final net and preseason get togther saw a good turnout and only a few minor injuries - not really a good idea for a new boy to kop the skipper was it Mr Henderson!? Special congratulations to Richard Johnson who managed to get himself outside a whole CurlyWurlyMegaThingy - whatever that is(!). Thanks to Mushie for the pictures which are now desporting themselves in the gallery.
