This page is dedicated to remembering those "champagne moments" that aren't to be found in the bald statistics, but are really what we all play cricket for. Here's a few of them from last season:

  • The red arrows fly-past at Dorstone just as our openers went out to bat
  • Chris's Prince and O'Reilly putting the Wellesbourne attack to the sword in the semi-final of the midweek league
  • James Beaven's demolition of the Mulberry attack in making the season's highest score of 119
  • Tim Jolly (my wallet's in my other jacket) and his 6-18 against Eardisland
  • Tim Jolly and his 0-76 (or did it just feel like that) against Old Moseley Arms Fit Men
  • Either of Nathan's centuries (against Lapworth and Rowington)
  • The clunk from my shin as it intercepted an extra-cover drive against Old Moseley Arms Fit Men and the comedy swelling that appeared shortly afterwards
  • Mike Ireland's career batting average hits double figures
  • Any opposition batsmen in the Midweek League running two to Martyn Lilley at "gulley"
